Based in Lisbon, Portugal, this visual artist investigates tension, memory, and transformation through materials that stretch, shift, and evolve. Her work emerges from a life of displacement—moving across countries and cities—and the deep need to dialogue with her roots.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where her foundation in typography and design began. For over twelve years, she has taught typography at renowned institutions, an experience that sharpened her ability to see beyond form—into structure, balance, and the plastic potential of everyday materials.
This background profoundly influences her artistic practice. She approaches organic and flexible materials—textiles, elastic bands, found objects—with a designer's precision and an artist's sensitivity. Her work explores the space between rigidity and adaptability, absence and presence, the familiar and the unknown.
Conceptually, her pieces reconstruct fragments of memory and childhood vulnerability, inviting viewers into an intimate dialogue with impermanence and renewal. Currently based in Lisbon, her practice continues to transform—mirroring her own process of healing, becoming, and finding equilibrium where movement becomes growth.
